Interested in Internet Business? You’ve come to the right place. Start with an overview of advantages the internet can offer businesses in a new, digitized world. Module 0 provides an overall understanding of the various principles and elements that facilitate the internet, the evolution of the internet, and businesses that comprise of the internet.
Welcome to Digital Marketing. Module 1 is a highly comprehensive overview of marketing fundamentals and how to apply them in a digital world. Develop your foundations of marketing, understand the customer journey, and reexamine everything you know through a digital lens. By the end of this module, you will know how to build, analyze, and execute a fully fleshed out digital marketing strategy.
Moving into Module 2, we begin to explore the intimate interactions between consumers and your business. This module covers the most important aspects of the Human Centered Innovation process, presenting 3 of the 4 areas that must be considered during the overall process of innovation: design research, creative problem solving, and proof of concept using design & prototyping tools.
Module 4 explores UGC (user-generated content) rules and defines the interactive dynamics of influencers, active listening processes, and Web 2.0 dynamics through a channel and content lens. This module also serves as a practical guide for the understanding, creation, and development of Social Media strategies for your own business or within your organizations.
The technological aspect of the internet has many implications for business. Module 5 serves as an introduction to Internet Technology, technology fundamentals, why this is rooted in the current state of digital transformation, all the way to learning practical skills within IT to help digitize your company.
Time and time again, we are told that the world is going mobile. To stay ahead of this movement, Module 6 will provide a comprehensive and practical overview of the mobile web, deep diving into how these concepts and tools can be applied to your digital environment. We will look specifically at how the new multi-screen, hyper-connected user has changed how we approach the digital world.
Design, specifically service design methodology, provides the tools and processes needed to identify what the users’ needs are – and how to respond to them. Module 7 covers an end-to-end walkthrough of the design process focusing on Graphic Design & Usability, and provides the overall processes of designing a successful website.
Moving further down the business funnel, we come to Module 8, eCommerce. This module covers all sales models available through digital channels, as well as a practical, hands-on demonstration of what it takes to manage a successful online sales operations.
Taking a step back from data, Module 9 explores search engines. Today, search engines are the main portal to Internet content and services. A digital professional must have a mastery of how to develop proper positioning and execution of a digital marketing strategy - this module aims to prep you for success.
What is a digital business if you are not optimizing, optimizing, optimizing? Module 9 provides a deep understanding of all data and metrics used for measuring internet businesses today. Students will be presented with practical examples of which metrics are relevant to which businesses, what problems and potential they can create, and how they interact with each other.
Finally, the MIB journey will end with Digital Company Transformation. Module 15 is built around two concepts: Learning & Doing. Learn how to digitize a company by assessing opportunities as well as challenges. Do, and incorporate lean startup practices to transform your organization into its absolute best self. Module 15’s ultimate goal is for the student to successfully set clear, next steps in building a career that they will love.
Students work in groups focusing on the digitalization of a partner company. During the course, students incorporate their new digital skills into the business project. The backbone project is closely supervised by mentors who meet with the student groups every 3 weeks, guiding the development of the project. The final digital plan is presented to the business owners and a panel of professors at the end of the master's degree.
